Ceramiche Refin at Coverings 2011

Once again, Ceramiche Refin will take part in Coverings, the most important event of the US market dedicated to floor and wall coverings in ceramic and natural stone.

LAS VEGAS – 14-17 MARCH
Italian Pavilion, Upper level, Hall C, Stand n. 4539.

This year, Refin will showcase some of the recent collections launched at Cersaie 2010, collections that are now winning the praise of architects, designers and end-users.

Slate: Ceramiche Refin reinterprets, in porcelain stoneware, natural slate, a material that has been used for public and residential buildings for centuries. The Slate collection is characterised by the rich textures typical of the natural slate that is the inspiration behind the collection. It evokes the natural beauty and the precious imperfections of stones, respecting their structure and colours yet has the added values of the technical performance of porcelain stoneware, making it the perfect solution to dress residential and commercial venues, indoor and outdoor floors and wall with an unmistakable style.

Refin recreated this precious natural stone in ceramics, combining its aesthetic appeal with the technical features of porcelain stoneware. Ceramic tiles in natural hues with balanced shades and veining and with irregular marks evoking the fossil shells, which can be typically found on the surface of the natural stone (and) from which the ceramic collection takes its inspiration.

Murcia: Crema Marfil marble is brought up to date in a ceramic collection featuring the look and versatility of the natural stone enriched with the excellent technical performances so typical of Refin top quality porcelain stoneware: innovative, eco-sustainable and 100% Made in Italy.
The Murcia tiles are manufactured using an appreciated ceramic mix containing 20% post-consumer recycled glass, derived from the recycling of obsolete cathode ray tube TV sets and monitors and these tiles allow for the allocation of the maximum possible LEED rating credits (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) as well as representing an eco-sustainable solution for the green building industry.

Graffiti: created following meticulous monitoring of industrial areas and metropolitan spaces, this ceramic collection reinterprets cement in porcelain stoneware. Monochromatic ceramics evoking the hues of raw cement, ranging from grey shades to warmer bright and dark tints, scratched by deliberately irregular marks, for minimal spaces of great visual impact. Essential, versatile and original design surfaces in keeping with contemporary aesthetic models, the perfect choice for any design expression.

Kaos, design by Luca Nichetto, is a project revealing the molecular structure of ceramic with a 3D texture in relief. In this collection, traditional and established technologies and the most recent digital printing techniques integrate, originating a unique, never-repetitive product.
While interfacing the production potential of Ceramiche Refin, Luca Nichetto imagined complex graphic patterns, that do not emulate other materials but exalt the nature of porcelain stoneware itself, with a project focussing on the ceramic material and its composition as the symbol of ceramic technology revolution.

Slate, Murcia, Graffiti and Kaos are the result of research, innovation and design: the features of Refin collections, always able to amaze customers for their extreme versatility, that makes them perfect for indoor and outdoor spaces, for commercial and residential venues.
