Ceramiche Refin at Coverings 2015

14 – 17 April 2015
Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida
Stand 5042 – Ceramics of Italy Pavilion

During Coverings exhibition, Ceramiche Refin presents to US market a preview of its two brand new collections, Plant and Deck, alongside Prestigio, a successful series that was already launched at the Cersaie and presented at the Coverings trade show as part of a new, more extensive range.

The message that Ceramiche Refin wants to convey to the visitors is its ability to offer solutions that are always original and have a personality of their own.
To prove its great ability to meet different needs, the Italian company puts on display two new collections for the very first time: Plant and Deck.

Plant blends in perfectly with a series of collections specially designed to recreate interiors inspired by industrial and “underground” settings. Materials such as wood and concrete are in fact reinterpreted a totally original way, in which the signs of wear and tear, such as scratches and surface grazes, become the distinguishing factor that create a past history in any room in which they are installed. Through the reinterpretation of these materials, the Plant series should be perceived as an instrument that can create a vintage mood in interiors – in the home or commercial spaces – which tells the story of the product and how it has been used in industrial settings.

The Deck collection aims to re-propose traditional Nordic colours and atmospheres: based on its painstaking research into the history and details of the different types of wood, Ceramiche Refin has succeeded in creating a range that exploits the different shades of colour to underline the effect of light on the surface, in spite of the minimalist design. On each single ‘plank’ in fact, the particular colour chosen is declined in a mixture of shades: in the lightest colour (Dawn), for instance, the vein markings are emphasises with grey and pink undertones, while in the darkest shade (Blaze) a combination of brown-orangey veins create a sense of vibrancy and brightness.

The range also includes the Prestigio collection, which is inspired by the most exquisite types of Italian and European marble. They symbolise the natural beauty of these stone materials by enhancing the typical tones and original vein markings – sometimes delicate, sometimes bolder – by means of the lapping process that gives these products a high-class, glossy finish. The collection thus has a classic style with a modern twist, also thanks to the deliberately large slabs measuring of 75×150. In addition to the four colours which were already presented at the last edition of Cersaie,Refin presents the new shade Botticino, available with a matt or lucido finish in all sizes.
