BESIDE - Unexpected tiles - fuorisalone

Beside – Unexpected Tiles is the new project developed by Massimiliano Adami in partnership with DesignTaleStudio.
The designer and the company opted to take many different directions in a bid to look at ceramic mosaic from unexpected, "untamed" points of view. With Beside, the first step along this research path, the experimentation of shape and material focuses on a specific property of ceramic tiles that has never been explored before, to create original mosaics that revolutionise the concept of ceramic itself.

…the ceramic tile, a material in two dimensions par excellence, has two faces like a medal, and just like it, the reverse face is often surprising and amazing. In the same way, the B-side becomes the most unexpected face and the protagonist of an aesthetic interpretation; the peculiar square patterned texture becomes a graphic pattern to remix the geometry of the mosaic with the colours and decors of ceramic glazes.
